Scope of Work: DesignFit, a leading facade design company, provided comprehensive GA (General Arrangement) and fabrication drawings for the glazing and cladding systems of this project in one of the UK's most prestigious locations. Our expertise in creating precise fabrication documentation ensured a seamless installation of complex facade elements.

Glazing:

For the Schueco FWS60 curtain wall system, DesignFit delivered detailed GA drawings and fabrication documentation, which included:

Bar preparation drawings
Brackets and glass schedules
Flashings and related components
Integration of a Boon Edam revolving door system

In addition to the detailed design, the site order list for the glazing system included:
​
EPDM membranes: For waterproofing and air sealing
Fixings: Including bolts, screws, and anchors for curtain wall installation
Silicone sealant: For joint sealing and weatherproofing
Setting blocks: To ensure proper glass installation
Brackets and clips: For structural support
Gaskets: To maintain airtight and water tight seals between the glass and frame
Siderise fire stops: For effective fire compartmentation and fire protection within the curtain wall system

The façade design process involved intricate detailing, especially considering building movements and fire safety requirements, making this a technically demanding project.

Cladding:
The cladding system utilized 240mm thick PAROC composite panels, supporting the King span rainscreen system. Nvelope NH3 helping hand brackets were attached to Tophats, ensuring structural integrity.
